Welcome and YesStyle Haul

Hello! I'm Junko and I'll be your blogger for the day! I'm 19 years old(as I type this) and I've been into Japanese/Asian fashion for quite some time now. I can't promise I'll blog everyday or every other week. I'll try and update this down with some hauls or just random stuff.

And a disclaimer that I will attach for every haul(no matter what): I am not affiliated with this company. They didn't send me these items free of charge, these are out of pocket. These are my honest opinions.

Alright, so as some know, there's a store online(and in California) called YesStyle. It is for Asian Fashion from Japan to Korea to China.

The Pros of YesStyle:

  • Very nice clothes
  • Very neat packaging
  • No sales tax(I spent over $100 so I'm not sure if there'll be sales tax under that amount)
  • Can be used with anything
And with every pros, there are cons

  • Takes a while to be delievered(benefit of the doubt that they're shipping from the other side of the world but I've ordered from Japan/China/Korea before and they've gotten to me within two weeks but every company is different)
  • Things quickly go out of stock on the website
  • Things also are unavailable quickly

But other than those, I'd happy order from them again. I wanted to go over $150 because they have free shipping but my mom said whatever, it didn't matter and she was willing to pay the $10 shipping.

I ordered toward the end of March and got my clothes April 6th 2012. There was a slight mix up at first from the DHL man but he's human and stuff happens. Luckily, I was able to catch him before he drove off completely and got my package.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of them before I took them out the bags so sorry about that. However, they came in very neatly and very nicely.

$22.00

I've never had a striped dress in my life...Ever. So when I saw this, I'm like "hmm...I've never had a striped dress. I guess I could get one." This fits me perfectly. I was afraid that, despite being small in America, I would be too large for the size but this dress is quite stretchy. I plan to wear this with some black knee high socks and high top shoes.

$16.20

To be honest, this shirt wasn't my first choice for having a Union Jack print. The sweater I wanted went out of stock and I'm waiting on a different store to get it back in stock. Anyway, this shirt is CUTE! Unfortunately, this shirt has barely any stretch to it so unlike in the picture they have on the site, I couldn't wear this as a one piece dress(not that it's suppose to anyway). As well as that, I wouldn't wear this on a regular basis since it's so tight. But hey! It's cute!

$18.00

This has to be the most adorable shirt I've ever seen! Unfortunately, the skirt I wanted to wear with this went out of availability and that pissed me off but eh. Whatever. Another honest thought, this shirt wasn't my first choice. My first choice was a red gingham peasant shirt but that went out of stock and I believe availability as well. So I looked around and I saw this shirt. Along with my heels, I'd wear a cute little red skirt with it.

$35.00

So, the real reason why I got these shoes? The navy blue sailor dress I bought had the model wear red shoes so i'm like 'Okay, red shoes'. When I had my red skirt and red gingham peasant shirt(right before they went out of stock and availability), I planned to wear these shoes as well so I wouldn't have to find a different pair. But eh. The heels are three inches in which they are extremely comfortable! I love these heels. Unfortunately, they didn't have half sizes so I had to go a size up.(a 40 in Taiwan is an 8 in America) but I didn't have much trouble. They didn't slip off my feet which is a plus.

$9.60

Because I was getting a Sailor Dress, I decided to get anchor earrings. Sorry if the picture isn't clear enough! xP I've loved nautical things for a long time, even before getting into Asian Fashion. Anything that had to do with the sea. I actually wanted to be in the Navy at one point but I'm not a military person. So these earrings were so adorable and I never had anchor earrings before.

Short-Sleeve Sailor-Collar A-Line Dress by Lorikeet$30.00
This is my navy blue dress that I love to death already! It's perfect! It's not a 'flattering' dress to some but honestly, i love it! And it's funny how everything the model has(red shoes, the dress and the black stockings) I have so I can already recreate this look.
So, other than the downsides of it being slow and things going out of stock way too quickly, I would definitely buy from YesStyle again. I probably would have to buy it on my payday to make sure I get them before they go out of stock but I definitely would buy from them. However! I'd also like to put a little thing about their clothing before you go and buy stuff from them: They're made for small people(in retrospect, Asians) so if you're bigger than them, unless they have the clothes you want in the plus size section, some of the clothes might not fit you and you will feel like you wasted alot of money because you didn't think about your size. Alot of their clothing comes in 'One size' only so I got by by a hair with the clothes. And even so, you don't have to buy their clothing. So that's it for my first post. I'll try and update once a week. Bye bye!<3 Junko
