Hey everyone! Sorry for no post yesterday!

This doesnt really pertain to clothing but it does pertain to my hair. As I am African-American(or Afro-American to others), I use to relax my hair but I cut it off dude to wanting to go Natural.

So this a picture of when I first cut my hair off on October 14th, 2010:

And this is my hair now as of April 2012:

2 years natural! I'm happy! I'm happier than I ever had been relaxed(the itchiness and not being able to go in water and just was annoying)

In the beginning I used soft & Beautiful's Oil Moisturizing Lotion with Aloe Vera and my hair grew pretty friggin' fast! But once I ran out of it, I started experimenting with others. A Personal favorite that I'll get again one day was the African Royale M.O.M(Miracle oil Moisturizer) and it seemed that my hair growth was slowing down.

So recently, I've been twisting my hair, putting a mixture of Glycerin, All Ways Natural's Oil Moisturizer and Organix's Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum on my twists and wrapping it up and leaving it like that until either I can throw a wig on or I take my twists down.

So yeah! All my natural hair folks, comment below on what you use for your hair :D

Mall time!

Hey everyone!

Well, Monday I went out with friends. I'm going to admit that this outfit wasn't my most 'fashionable' moment as I didn't have the shoes that I wanted(Well, I did but I wasn't sure if I wanted to wear them), the stripes did make me seem a bit bigger than I am and I couldn't find the hat I wanted to wear. Nonetheless I still rocked my outfit tall and proud!

Outfit
Dress: Striped Dress from YesStyle
Tights: No brand
Hoodie: No brand(as it was made when I was in Marching band
Shoes: I believe K-Swiss?
Hat: Kangol hat
Wig: N/A(was purchased in my junior year of High school)

Took the pictures in Aeropostle so excuse the shirts.

We had a fun time but we almost hit a road block during it.

So I wait at the bus station once I got off the bus and had my transfer. My friends came up as if they were the cool kids on the block LOL.

We went to my friend's job so another friend could apply there. As we wait in line(There were five of us. Two of our other friends sat and talked or whatever and three of us were being moral support), some folks jumped in front of us. We were pretty pissed but she decided to just let it go and not even worry about it. We just wait in line and just talk about weird stuff.

An older woman that stood behind us, when we got further up the line and nearing the people who were interviewing, tried to get into an argument with some of them. She was asking how they got in front of her and just being ignorant and loud. Of course, the young man in front of them try to tell her that it doesn't matter anymore since they were technically at the front. She wouldn't have it and just continued to argue. I would have recorded her but I decided to just save my time on it and not worry about it. My friend was interviewed and came back after about...five to ten minutes. However when we left, my God, my friends were just extremely upset. And with good reason.

Anyway, we left from there and went to the St. Louis Galleria to grab a bite to eat and then browse. We had a great time but in a sense, kinda wish we got there earlier since on the weekdays, the Galleria closes at nine but whatever, we had fun anyway.

So we all said our goodbyes at the end of the day when we came back to the bus station.

I had most of the day recorded so if you want to watch out for the vids, visit my friend's youtube channel!

So that's it! Have a great day!

Wishlist!

Hello Everyone!

So, I haven't really been out(my friends all don't want to go anywhere yet) so I didn't get to wear my YesStyle Clothes yet. However, I will be very soon, hopefully! :D And I'll make sure to take pictures.

Anyway, I have a little wishlist that I hope to fulfill soon or atleast before my birthday! Of course, some of the clothing I want crosses over into the Gyaru community but either way I see it, I see extremely cute clothes that I must wear! They're a mixture from YesStyle, Liz Lisa and all those other places.

So here are some clothes that I hope to see myself wear soon!

A mina
Floral Print Chiffon Top in GreenI actually plan to buy this fairly soon anyway but in case I don't get to, I'll put this on my wish list

I will FIND this sweater! It was originally TISVIN Union Jack Knit Top on YesStyle before it went out of stock and availability but I will find this sweater somewhere! If not, i will attempt to knit this myself dammit!

These Ni-Kiyo boots are LOVE. I want them! So much! Surprisingly, these aren't out of stock like my other choices of heels and boots.

I also love these boots! I dont have many knee/over the knee high boots(I have combat boots that are knee high but they're now too small for me). And the brown, black and grey all call out to me! I'd just have to keep them away from my dog.

I saw this on a gyaru's blog that I follow and I LOVED the dress. This is definitely on my wishlist for things I want to get!

I saw this in a scan of Popteen magazine and I fell in LOVE with it!

I thought it was blue but apparently, it's yellow-green. Either way, I love it! And if you'd been following so far, I love Floral prints(don't tell my friends that! ;) )

This appeared in Popteen and again, it's yellow-green instead of blue(I SWEAR it looked blue in the scan and on the website). Either way, this is a want! :D

This dress, minus the shoes and jacket is REALLY cute. And did I mention I love floral prints?
So for now, that's all. I'll talk to you lovely people later! As I type this, it's storming and scaring the hell out of me. Bye!EDIT: Edited the list <3 Junko

Welcome and YesStyle Haul

Hello! I'm Junko and I'll be your blogger for the day! I'm 19 years old(as I type this) and I've been into Japanese/Asian fashion for quite some time now. I can't promise I'll blog everyday or every other week. I'll try and update this down with some hauls or just random stuff.

And a disclaimer that I will attach for every haul(no matter what): I am not affiliated with this company. They didn't send me these items free of charge, these are out of pocket. These are my honest opinions.

Alright, so as some know, there's a store online(and in California) called YesStyle. It is for Asian Fashion from Japan to Korea to China.

The Pros of YesStyle:

  • Very nice clothes
  • Very neat packaging
  • No sales tax(I spent over $100 so I'm not sure if there'll be sales tax under that amount)
  • Can be used with anything
And with every pros, there are cons

  • Takes a while to be delievered(benefit of the doubt that they're shipping from the other side of the world but I've ordered from Japan/China/Korea before and they've gotten to me within two weeks but every company is different)
  • Things quickly go out of stock on the website
  • Things also are unavailable quickly

But other than those, I'd happy order from them again. I wanted to go over $150 because they have free shipping but my mom said whatever, it didn't matter and she was willing to pay the $10 shipping.

I ordered toward the end of March and got my clothes April 6th 2012. There was a slight mix up at first from the DHL man but he's human and stuff happens. Luckily, I was able to catch him before he drove off completely and got my package.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of them before I took them out the bags so sorry about that. However, they came in very neatly and very nicely.

$22.00

I've never had a striped dress in my life...Ever. So when I saw this, I'm like "hmm...I've never had a striped dress. I guess I could get one." This fits me perfectly. I was afraid that, despite being small in America, I would be too large for the size but this dress is quite stretchy. I plan to wear this with some black knee high socks and high top shoes.

$16.20

To be honest, this shirt wasn't my first choice for having a Union Jack print. The sweater I wanted went out of stock and I'm waiting on a different store to get it back in stock. Anyway, this shirt is CUTE! Unfortunately, this shirt has barely any stretch to it so unlike in the picture they have on the site, I couldn't wear this as a one piece dress(not that it's suppose to anyway). As well as that, I wouldn't wear this on a regular basis since it's so tight. But hey! It's cute!

$18.00

This has to be the most adorable shirt I've ever seen! Unfortunately, the skirt I wanted to wear with this went out of availability and that pissed me off but eh. Whatever. Another honest thought, this shirt wasn't my first choice. My first choice was a red gingham peasant shirt but that went out of stock and I believe availability as well. So I looked around and I saw this shirt. Along with my heels, I'd wear a cute little red skirt with it.

$35.00

So, the real reason why I got these shoes? The navy blue sailor dress I bought had the model wear red shoes so i'm like 'Okay, red shoes'. When I had my red skirt and red gingham peasant shirt(right before they went out of stock and availability), I planned to wear these shoes as well so I wouldn't have to find a different pair. But eh. The heels are three inches in which they are extremely comfortable! I love these heels. Unfortunately, they didn't have half sizes so I had to go a size up.(a 40 in Taiwan is an 8 in America) but I didn't have much trouble. They didn't slip off my feet which is a plus.

$9.60

Because I was getting a Sailor Dress, I decided to get anchor earrings. Sorry if the picture isn't clear enough! xP I've loved nautical things for a long time, even before getting into Asian Fashion. Anything that had to do with the sea. I actually wanted to be in the Navy at one point but I'm not a military person. So these earrings were so adorable and I never had anchor earrings before.

Short-Sleeve Sailor-Collar A-Line Dress by Lorikeet$30.00
This is my navy blue dress that I love to death already! It's perfect! It's not a 'flattering' dress to some but honestly, i love it! And it's funny how everything the model has(red shoes, the dress and the black stockings) I have so I can already recreate this look.
So, other than the downsides of it being slow and things going out of stock way too quickly, I would definitely buy from YesStyle again. I probably would have to buy it on my payday to make sure I get them before they go out of stock but I definitely would buy from them. However! I'd also like to put a little thing about their clothing before you go and buy stuff from them: They're made for small people(in retrospect, Asians) so if you're bigger than them, unless they have the clothes you want in the plus size section, some of the clothes might not fit you and you will feel like you wasted alot of money because you didn't think about your size. Alot of their clothing comes in 'One size' only so I got by by a hair with the clothes. And even so, you don't have to buy their clothing. So that's it for my first post. I'll try and update once a week. Bye bye!<3 Junko
